Full Description
The Audacious Electromagnetic Pulse Series is rooted in the Midwest and charged with intention.
Each print is built on purple paper, a color that reflects the spirit of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The visual elements reflect motion, labor, and culture through layered textures and sharp linework.
This series pulls from my own story and from my father’s work as a lineman. These prints carry the weight of memory, place, and purpose.

“This series is an ode to work ethic, to migration, to the Midwest, and to the way our stories get layered into color and form.
The Audacious Electromagnetic Pulse Series is rooted in the Midwest and uses that deep, electric purple as a nod to this place and the culture that’s shaped me. This work is about energy, both literal and cultural. My dad was a lineman—one of the first Black union presidents in the IBEW—and that blue-collar energy shows up in everything I do.
These pieces carry that pulse. They’re for the folks who know what long shifts feel like, who build and hold communities together.”
