Full Description
Within The Trees is an atmospheric mixed media work built from layered collage, scraped surfaces, and vertical abstract forms that evoke the feeling of encountering presence within nature. Deep blacks, muted purples, ochres, and pale yellows create an earth bound palette. Sharp accents of cobalt blue, lime green, and red add tension and energy. Collaged fragments introduce echoes of landscape, memory, and environmental interruption.
White and gold contour lines trace pathways that resemble roots, branches, or coded networks. Semi figurative forms appear to stand within or emerge from the landscape, creating a sense of guardianship, ancestry, or spiritual awareness.
