Artwork Details
Full Description
Up Top is a charged, energetic mapping of movement, frequency, and urban density. The upper areas of the composition open into deep ultramarine and cobalt fields. Below, layers of black structural lines, warm red and orange bursts, and rhythmic color pathways form a dense and active field. Areas of pink, peach, and coral provide human warmth within the coded grid.
As part of the Triptych Collection within the Dauntless Indignant Geography Series, Up Top represents an elevated viewpoint. The painting reads like a living system observed from above. Pathways intersect, signals collide, and clusters of color mark zones of activity. The density and rhythm of the mark making invite both close study and intuitive interpretation. This work is a clear representation of the energy and conceptual focus that defines Gregory’s most current series.
